Talking to Your GP

If you think you may have hidradenitis suppurativa or HS, seeing your family doctor for an accurate diagnosis and to be given useful information is an important first step in managing your condition. Some GPs take a special interest in dermatology and will either be able to make an accurate diagnosis of your suspected condition or will be able to refer you to a dermatology specialist at your local hospital.

To make the discussion with your GP as beneficial as possible, you can use the tool below answering as many of the questions as you can to help you think about what to say to your doctor. Your responses will not be recorded or saved by this website and are for your use only.
